The Sharpener’s Edge
The Sharpener’s Edge is an innovative sharpener that holds the angle of the sharpening utensil for you for your specific knife. Once you find the angle of your knife (it’s easy and we tell you how!), you set the angle on The Sharpener’s Edge. Then, all you have to do is hold your knife straight up and down and draw it across the sharpening utensil. It’s that simple.
Sharpening is now efficient and easy. Changing the sharpening utensils, going from diamond to ceramic, round to oblong or blunt end to tapered end, the angle all stays the same!
The Sharpener’s Edge also simplifies sharpening all types of scissors making it easy and efficient to do yourself.
Includes 1 diamond sharpening rod and 1 ceramic finishing rod.
Made in the U.S.A, out of GFN2 plastic, it is durable and sturdy yet lightweight. Measuring at 8” x 4” it is easy to have on your kitchen counter or take with you hunting or fishing. Ideal for cooks, hunters, seamstresses, hairdressers and more!

Jim’s story
Hi, I’m Jim Wittenborn and I am the inventor and CEO for The Sharpener’s Edge by JCS Products, LLC a family owned and run business in Aiken, SC.
I love knives and almost always carry one with me. With a knife in my pocket since I was 8 years old, I have spent countless hours sharpening my knives, yet was never fully satisfied. I could never achieve the “perfect” edge or replicate the factory edge. Over the years, I have spent quite a bit of money on various knife sharpeners in hopes of finally achieving the perfect edge and yet they would always disappoint me. I had a drawer full of sharpeners yet my knives were not perfectly sharp.
I came up with the idea of The Sharpener’s Edge when one day a picture popped into my head and I drew it on a piece of paper. Then, I fabricated it out of metal in my garage. It worked and it was so simple to use! My next thought was how to make this so other people can use it? After spending a lot of time fine tuning it to hold all various shapes and sizes of sharpening utensils to accommodate what people already owned, it was time to get it manufactured.
I received a patent on it, then began the arduous task of getting it manufactured in the USA, an extremely important goal from the beginning.
It has been a long journey but I am pleased to offer you a way to efficiently and easily sharpen your knives. Discovering that it sharpens scissors quickly and efficiently has been an added bonus.
I hope you enjoy it and enjoy your sharp knives and scissors!
